Silence is louder than words

High schoolers have a social media problem. Writing this I am not saying that I do not have the same problems because I know I do some of the things I am going to talk about as well. I really don't think there is any way you can put a stop to things on social media no matter how hard you tried. Almost everyone puts too much out on the internet for the world to see, including me. This has become a major problem in society today. It is ruining so many things for us today and pulls people apart rather then bring them closer together. Now we can tweet and show our emotion and what we are doing instead of directly telling someone.
Being the over emotional teenagers we are, we feel the need for everyone to know our emotion and feel for us or relate to us because no one wants to be alone. People tweet things so the can show other people a lot of time that they hurt them or have made them upset that way they can try to make them feel guilty and apologize to you. A lot of people also most pictures of them being happy and doing fun things to one up other people and show people that they are other another person and they can do whatever and it doesn't bother them. Then there are the people who just party and want to show that they party and brag to the world that they have alcohol and they are having a good time. People feel the need to show the whole world everything they are doing at all times of the day. Showing everyone all the things that.
My point in trying to get across is it is so sad to watch our society on social media. We are constantly complaining and one upping another trying to see who cause post the best thing and who can get the most favorites and likes. Its so sad that we have to put all our thoughts out there for everyone to see because then when we individually tell people it just isn't as special anymore! I am not saying that social media is totally bad cause its not and it can be fun and enjoyable. Next time before you post though just remember how powerful silence is sometimes.
