I am a very active user of Netflix but because of my slight addiction to it I have found some of my favorite shows! One of my favorite shows that I finished a while ago but I still love it so much, is Gossip Girl. I was the first of my friends to start watching it and slowly as the first season went on I feel in love with all the characters. I got all my friends to start watching it too that way I could have them talk about how much they love it with me. Of course once they started watching it they all got hooked too. There are 6 seasons in gossip girl and as soon as we got to about season 4/5 we decided to throw a Gossip Girl party to show out love for it!
Here is an a little snip about the Pilot episode from http://origin.www.cwtv.com/shows/gossip-girl
"The privileged prep school teens on Manhattan's Upper East Side first learn that Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively,) is back in town the way they learn all the important news in their lives -- from the blog of the all-knowing albeit ultra-secretive Gossip Girl.
No one knows Gossip Girl's identity, but everyone in this exclusive and complicated vicious circle relies on her website and text messages for the latest scoop. Even Serena's closest friend, Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), is surprised to find that Serena has suddenly ended her self-imposed exile to boarding school and returned to Manhattan.
Once the Upper East Side's most notorious party girl, Serena's reasons for returning are mysterious, although they may have something to do with her younger brother Eric (Connor Paolo, "Alexander"). Whatever the reasons, the change in Serena is obvious, especially to Blair, whose friendship with Serena has always been competitive and difficult."
I was Blair at the party because of my brown hair and my attitude like her. She is stubborn and wants to get her way to succeed in life. She also loves fashion as do I which made it even better. Her on and off lover is Chuck bass. This was played by my good friend Jenna at the party. Which was hilarious how good she was at getting herself to look like a boy. Blairs best friend Serena was played by my good friend Marisa, because they both have very long blonde flowy hair so it really was just that they looked alike. We also had my friend jill who played Jenny. They didn't really look alike but it also isn't to hard because to be Jenny all you have to do is put a lot of dark goth makeup on. Some of my friends also just were some other smaller part characters. My friend Lauren was Vanessa in the show, which she is in for a few season before she moves. My friend Emily was also a temporary character named Olivia. We took a whole bunch of pictures and acted like we were at a fancy high class party! It was a really fun time! I recommend watching Gossip girl because it really is a great show!
Also here are some picture from the party so you can see how into it we really got!

HAPPINESS INC JACKET
It is known in high school that if you are in a sport or activity or a club of some sort that the day of or the day before the big event you dress up. This way the schools knows you are in that activity and you have a game and event soon! This is tradition has been going on for a long time now. All sports do it where sometimes they dress up or wear something representing there sport or team. Sometimes the football guys wear there jersey and girls wear the practice jersey. The volleyball girls wear t-shirts they made and things of that sort. I am involved in swimming and showchoir and both those activities do it too. We dress up on swim meet days if the meet is an away meet that day so when we show up to there school we look really nice. If it is a home meet we wear either our team t-shirts or jackets that day. For showchoir we usually switch on and off depending on if we have showchoir that day during class because they don't want the girls in giant heels and short skirts trying to practice during the day. If we don't dress up we usually wear our very bright Happiness jackets.
The whole school in all other activities can wear there team stuff but for some reason when we wear our Happiness jackets we get a lot of crap for it. Yes I will admit they are very bright jackets and they do make quite a statement but still that is no reason for people to get mad. All other sports can wear there things but people get mad when we wear ours and its not fair. I personally love the jackets because they are different and stand out. They are bright yellow and they are kind of raincoat material and in green words on the back they say "HAPPINES INC." On the front you can your name or nickname. When you get into Happiness it is a privilege to get your jacket, its like what you look forward too. I assume it would feel like how it would to get like your varsity jersey for the first time. It makes you feel good about yourself like you made it there finally. It is also a very unique thing that we do it to pin buttons on them. You can pin whatever button you want to. Some people fill there jacket with like 100 and others like me just have like 5. Either way I think it looks really cool and I think it is something different from all other teams cause we don't just have plain jackets or t-shirts. Though of course we do have normal sweatshirts and t-shirts to if you want them also. I take to offense when people tweet mean things about them the day we wear them. When we wore them for the first time this year I saw tweets like "watch out the yellow bananas are loose" and "the obnoxious jackets are back everyone" and things along that line. I wouldn't care except for the fact that people only tweet it about showchoir and not when other teams where things together. I almost feel sometimes it is because it is showchoir which a lot of people think is dumb and boring but its really not to us who are in it.
I have heard and seen so many people say mean things about happiness and our jackets. So whether you like them or not you can keep it to yourself because we are just like any other activity at school and we can wear them together. Happiness is more then just a team we are a family too.

Pants or not pants?
Walking through the halls in high school you see lots of different styles. High school is a time to express yourself and to be and show who you are to the world and just hope that people will accept you. Looking around you question a lot of things that people are wearing, trying not to judge but we all know we do, even I do. Everyones style is unique and different then yours but yet if its not to our liking suddenly we don't like the person as much or see them in a different way. Its such a problem in our society but yet we all continue to do it anyways. Somethings that I know I probably get judged for most is that I think leggings are pants. This has been a debated for a while now and people have very strong opinions on this subject. It seems like such a silly opinion to have but yet I get so heated about it when it gets brought up so I feel that I should cover this topic since it is so important to me.
If leggings aren't pants what are they then? What is there purpose? Leggings just like sweats and jeans cover your whole bottom, hips and legs if they are fitting right. This means they are covering the same amount of area as jeans or sweats and much more area then if you were to wear shorts, a skirt or a dress ever would. I also have repetitively pondered what their purpose would be if they weren't pants. You can't wear them under a dress or shouldn't at least in my opinion. That was the style like 8 years ago when I was little and would have the matching set and it came together, I know you know what I am talking about girls. Now we have tights for things like that so why would I use leggings for what I should be using tights for. You could say that I wear leggings quite often and I would not deny maybe even more often then I should, but they are very comfy in my defense and easy to match with. I own about 8 pairs of just solid black leggings for my everyday wardrobe because they are so plain, simple and cheap. There are so many good things about leggings that I feel they are more beneficial then negative in any way. They are the in between of sweat pants and jeans, so you don't look like a total slob but you also can be more comfy then jeans are. You can also dress them up with a nicer shirt and accessories or dress it down with a crew neck or sweatshirt of something in the range of clothing item. People have told me to buy yoga pants from places like Victoria Secret because they are thicker then leggings but they are also about $40 more then leggings from like Forever 21 and just as cheaply made and can get holes in them just as quick. There are also tons and tons of super cute patterned leggings out there right now which makes them seems more think or some are even made thicker. Leggings overall are a great basic thing to wear and easy to make look fabulous on a daily basis.
I will admit that there are some negative things that people have mentioned to me that I can see some points they make. Leggings are not always meant for everyone and that people need to be sure that they are wearing the right size leggings when you wear them. If they are to small or are starting to get old they get very thin and worn out and that is something people don't want to see that. You also shouldn't wear leggings with extremely short shirts like crop tops to places like school specially. If you raise your hand in class and your stomach shows a little fine but if you are coming to school with your bellybutton showing with leggings that looks especially inappropriate. You need to make sure that you are wearing leggings in a appropriate way in public.
So I hope you can see where I am coming from when I say that leggings are pants and that is really their only purpose. They are also easy to match with, comfy and affordable which makes them even better! I understand some people wear them inappropriately which needs to change but enough people wear them the right way so we should let it happen. Leggings cover up just as much as other pants so why can't we let them be pants?

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Years! I thought I would bring up about the importance of the Christmas outfit. I don't know if you are as into Christmas as my friends, family and I are, but if you are I know you know how important it is to the perfect Christmas outfit! You want to make sure that your outfit is the perfect look! There are usually lots of pictures and you want to look good for all of those. You always go to Church and see everyone because it is the time of year where everyone goes even if they don't go a lot of other times in the year! And who doesn't want to look your best when you see a lot of people am I right? And usually you want to be kind of fancy if you are like me! I always go out and buy a brand new dresses or something kind of fancy like, almost always a dress though! This year I bought my first Ted Baker dress ever and probably my last for a while cause they are so stinking expensive! But it is one of my all time favorite dresses ever! I wish I could wear it everywhere! I usually tend to go for sparkly wow dresses but this year I decided less tight and sparkly look. It its a very classy dress. I got it in red which really fun and sassy color. When you walk into I room I feel like wearing that much red instantly draws attention to you! But of course I cant go without some sparkle so I still wore black sparkly tights with it which added the perfect touch. For shoes I wore my black pumps and tried to not kill myself walking through the snow! It carry all my things in I used my very nice early Christmas present, a Michael Kors purse! This was very exciting because it is my very first Michael Kors! My goal was to curl my hair to look Like AnnaSophia Robb (Carrie) from the Carrie Diaries! Here are links to show you so you can get a better idea of the look I was going for. This is a link to my Ted Baker dress! Here is a link to my new Michael Kors purse! Here is a picture of my inspiration for Hair from AnnaSophia If I were to change anything I wish I could have found the perfect statement necklace to go with it but I just didn't have time! Ghirardelli Chocolate History
In 1849, when Domingo Ghirardelli immigrated to the
United States from his homeland of Italy, he has dreams of striking it rich in
the California Gold Rush. After trying his hand and failing at mining, he
settles on opening a tent-store in nearby Stockton, CA, selling various
supplies and confections to fellow miners. With his new business proving
successful, Domingo decides to open a store and hotel in San Francisco. After a
major fire in 1851 destroys his businesses, he begins to rebuild. In 1852, he forms
a new confectionery company that is to become the Ghirardelli Chocolate
Company.
Today, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company has built on
its signature taste and time-honored manufacturing processes to become
America’s premium chocolate company. Here is a timeline of important events that led my favorite chocolate today; Ghirardelli!
1837: At the age of 20, Ghirardelli marries first wife, and sets sail
to Uruguay to partake in the South American chocolate trade. Here, he takes a
job in a "coffee and chocolate establishment."
1838: A year later, attracted by opportunities in Lima, Ghirardelli
sails around Cape Horn to Peru. Fatefully, Ghirardelli opens a confectionery
store next to a cabinet shop owned by an American, James Lick.
1847: Enticed by the stories prosperity in North America, Lick leaves
for San Francisco, taking 600 pounds of neighbor Ghirardelli’s Chocolate with
him. Meanwhile, Ghirardelli continues to operate his store in Peru, soon
replacing his Italian name with its Spanish equivalent, Domingo.
1865: Around this time, someone in the Ghirardelli Company makes an
important observation—by hanging a bag of chocolate in a warm room, the cocoa
butter drips out, leaving a residue that can be processed into ground
chocolate. This technique, called the Broma process, is now generally used in
the manufacture of chocolate.
1892: Domingo Ghirardelli retires as head of the company, turning the
management over to his three sons.
1893: Needing additional space, the company purchases the Pioneer
Woolen Mill building, and manufacturing moves to that location, on San
Francisco’s northern waterfront. This is the present location of Ghirardelli
Square.
1900: The company sells its coffee and spice business, limiting its
products to chocolate and mustard. A two-story warehouse (now called the Cocoa
Building) is built on North Point Street.
1923: The company adds two floors to the Cocoa Building and the
four-story structure becomes the base for 15-feet high, illuminated letters
spelling "Ghirardelli." Visible for miles, the sign becomes a
welcoming sight to ships passing through the Golden Gate.
1963: The Golden Grain Macaroni Company, which is owned and operated
by the De Domenico family, purchases the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. The
purchase includes the company name, product, formulas, and equipment.
1982: The owners apply for and are granted National Historic Register
status for Ghirardelli Square. The management at Ghirardelli Square seeks to
enhance and improve the ambiance of the Square by adding more greenery, trees,
and flowers to the landscaping. New outdoor umbrellas enliven the interior of
the Square, contributing to the visual appeal and atmosphere. With more than 75
tenants offering cuisine, art, and merchandise from around the world,
Ghirardelli Square becomes a model for the restoration of classic buildings
throughout the country.
1993-2003: Ghirardelli opens retail stores around America!
2004: Ghirardelli Chocolate Company launches its first national
television advertising campaign.
2004-and to this day: Ghirardelli Chocolate Company continues to launch its first
limited edition flavors every season!
My information about the history of Ghirardelli came from http://www.ghirardelli.com/
